| Ciba Specialty Chemicals has invested 100 million USD in constructing a set of plastic-used antioxygen device with initial productive capacity of 30,000t/year, and the device will be put into production in the beginning of 2008.Albemarle Corp. will invest 20 million USD in Nanjing, China for an factory producing additives for plastics, and its Nanjing Technique Center was open in Sep. 2006.So far Albemarle has two joint ventures in China, i.e. Ningbo Jinhai Albemarle Chemical Company and Shanghai Jinhai Albemarle Chemical Company. The former produces special type polymer stabilizers, fire retardants and fine chemicals, and the latter produces the intermediates of polymer stabilizer and polymer stabilizer. |
